The story really began in 1987 when I asked Dennis Mannion, my former high school English teacher, if he'd ever return to Khe Sanh. It's ironic that such a question would ultimately be answered by myself thirteen years later.

I've always had a fascination with Vietnam, and continue to delve even deeper into the Vietnam experience. I have traveled back to Vietnam a number of times since this production began, both for pleasure and business. The people and the country itself are beautiful. It's quite amazing to see how these people live and how eager they are to become a major player in a global economy.

This documentary could not have been successful if it weren't for Bob Arrotta, Glenn Prentice, Paul Knight, and Dennis Mannion. They were instrumental in seeing that I finish it, and ultimately succeed at what I set out to accomplish. I am forever indebted to them for their inspiration, involvement, and desire in helping me find a place for this story.

I invite you to take a journey through Khe Sanh: a walk in the clouds, and look forward to your comments about what you learn.
